The Town of Belleair is seeking applicants to fill the seats being vacated by two commissioners as a result of their resignation effective December 30, 2023. Each applicant will be verified through the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Office as a registered voter and resident of the Town of Belleair. Pursuant to the Town Charter, the appointees will hold office until the elections on March 19, 2023. A special Commission meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. This meeting will include interviews of candidates, opportunity for public comment, and a vote by the Commission to select appointees.
If you are interested in applying, please contact email@example.com for an application.
Please note that this application and selection process is entirely separate from the official March elections.
The Town of Belleair Commission consists of five members (the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor and three Commissioners) who are elected at large by the voters of Belleair for three year terms. The Commission is responsible for enacting legislation, establishing policies, and approving the annual budget.
The Town of Belleair holds regular Commission meetings once a month at 6:00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held in the Town Hall Auditorium, located at 901 Ponce de Leon Boulevard. Anyone is welcome to attend these meetings, and residents may bring items to the attention of the Commission at this time.
