[ARCHIVED] Pinellas County Special Needs/Evacuation Assistance Program

The Pinellas County Office of Emergency Management has put together a program for the Special Needs Community centered around Valentine’s Day.

The goal of the “Do you LOVE someone with a special need?” program is to educate the community on The Pinellas County Special Needs/Evacuation Assistance Program. The program is for individuals who have no other evacuation plan and need sheltering and or transportation assistance during an emergency. The registry is completely voluntary, secure, confidential, and provides emergency responders with the information to assist in evacuation and shelter during a disaster or emergency. To sign up, citizens can visit http://www.pinellascounty.org/emergency/specialneeds.htm or contact Pinellas County Emergency Management or their local fire department.
