Wow how the time flies! On May 2, we had the privilege to celebrate our very own Tena Khachab as she hit her 35th year as a Town of Belleair employee.
Most of you probably know Tena as the voice and face of the John J. Osborne Public Works building, as she handles all of the calls, questions, and administrative duties there.
And though she starting with us in 1984 as a clerk in Town Hall, Tena moved to work with the Water Department six months later and has been there ever since. Over time, Tena has progressively taken on more responsibility, as she now serves as a single point-of-contact for the Water, Solid Waste, and Public Works Departments.
Since day one, Tena has always excelled with a smile on her face and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone and everyone. Yesterday, we were so proud to be able to give back to her with a few gifts in show of our appreciation (including a well-deserved "Queen B" temporary parking sign).
Please join us in thanking Tena for her service over the past three-and-a-half decades (and help us beg her to never retire)! Thank you, Tena for everything that you do.
