In response to the questions and challenges brought forth from Hurricane Irma, the City of Belleair Bluffs and the Town of Belleair have teamed up to host a hurricane symposium, titled "Sheltering in Place." This event, which is focused largely on non-evacuation safety, will be held on Monday, April 23 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Belleair Bluffs City Hall building (2747 Sunset Boulevard, Belleair Bluffs).
The symposium will feature speakers from a panel of local experts that include Pinellas County Emergency Management, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, the Belleair Police Department, the Largo Fire Department, GenerX Generators, and more.
This event is free of charge, and light refreshments will be served by the Belleair Community Foundation.
